Printer Maintenance

In an effort to minimize unexpected system failures and downtime, your laser or impact printer should undergo a periodic inspection and cleaning. As a routine maintenance service, we perform the following:
• Remove outer covers from the printer
• Verify and monitor internal system voltages
• Inspect internal cooling fans (there may be several)
• Inspect internal data and power cabling
• Ensure proper grounding of electrical components
• Remove paper dust & debris buildup from internal system
  components and cavities
• Remove plug-in circuit boards and clean their electrical
  contact points
• Replace ozone air filter(s)
• Replace paper feed rollers
• Replace Transfer Assembly (as necessary)
• Clean Transfer Corona
• Install factory Maintenance Kit (as necessary)
• Clean outer printer covers
Typically, this process usually takes 30-60 minutes per printer (depending on make/model) and should be done on an annual basis, based on a normal duty cycle. In cases where your printer is routinely used beyond the manufacturer's normal duty cycle, the maintenance schedule should be increased accordingly.

If you'd like to schedule an annual Maintenance service, please feel free to use the Service & Support page of our Web Site.
